WORKING HOLIDAY VISA AUSTRALIA - REQUIREMENTS
The Australian Work Holiday Maker Visa gives young professionals the
opportunity of a lifetime. The WHM allows inspiring travelers to explore
Australia for up 12 months and also work as a means to supplement expenses.
Furthermore, those that receive the WHM visa will also be allowed work
for up to 6 months with a single employer and undertake training or
schooling for up to 4 months.
WHO CAN APPLY?
Those holding a valid passport from:
Belgium, Canada, Republic of Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France,
Germany, Hong Kong SAR, Republic of Ireland, Italy, Japan, Republic of
Korea, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Taiwan, USA and UK
and also,
Between the age of 18 but not older than 31 at the date of your visa application
Bringing no dependent children
Haven’t been approved for a Australian WHM Visa Before
Satisfy the character and health requirements
Have some form of health insurance
WHAT ARE THE FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS?
The Australian embassy requires you to have at least AU$5000 dollars
as a means of supporting yourself during your initial stay. Upon arrival
you may be required to show proof of these funds, i.e. bank statement,
credit card statement. Alternatively, you can transfer funds directly
to your Australian bank account that we will assist in opening, and
that bank statement will suffice.
ONCE IN AUSTRALIA, WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?
As soon as you arrive in Australia, you are required to visit the immigration
office and ask for a visa label to be printed and placed in your passport.
The visa label is to prove to potential employers you have permission
to work. Remember that the purpose of the WHM visa is to holiday, supplemented
by incidental employment.
